Co-founder and Director

Lorne is a qualified beekeeper, working with honeybees daily he is naturally Bee Worldwide’s honeybee expert. Lorne visits schools to educate the future generations on the importance of bees and provides talks as well as bee keeping experience days at the honeybee education centre.

Lorne is involved with the scientific experiments and research to help highlight the plight of the bee.

Lorne has won many awards through his work and it’s due to Lorne’s passion for bees that Bee Worldwide exists today.

Kira

Kira

Co-founder and Director

Kira is a widely experienced and knowledgeable member of our team, she uses her keen interest in nature and the environment to advise on all related aspects.

An amateur gardener who encourages pollinator friendly gardens especially wild bees, Kira is currently studying the RHS horticultural qualification to further her pollinator friendly knowledge.

Kira handles the project management, event organisation and PR matters - keeping Bee Worldwide and the team on-track and in-check.

Richard

Richard

Co-founder and Director

Richard deals with our financial matters within Bee Worldwide, he also brings a great deal of business knowledge to the group.

Richard has an interest in promoting pollinators to the gardens and is a dedicated gardener.

Richard has also got a background in electronics and helps on our hardware solutions for tracking bees and other Bee Worldwide scientific experiments.

Dean

Dean

Co-founder and Director

Dean runs all technical matters from software to hardware. He is heavily involved with the design and implementation of technology for tracking bees and other scientific experiments that we are involved with.

Dean will soon be a beekeeper himself with a bit of guidance from Lorne.

Dean also runs our website and the forum for our bee community.

Neil

Neil

Co-founder and Director

Neil is heavily involved in the event organisation and marketing, and actively promotes Bee Worldwide to find partners and corporate sponsorship for our cause.

With an interest in developing the technology, Neil also manages the key targeted research and development programmes alongside the day to day running of Bee Worldwide.

With a background in audio video he oversees and covers events to raise awareness and share this knowledge with our community.

Other key team members:

Ria plays a key role in our day-to-day beekeeping, she provides financial skills along with her large array of knowledge on honeybee beekeeping, sharing this knowledge both at events and in our community.

Laura has an extensive background in education, helping Bee Worldwide aim the correct educational programmes to the relevant age groups.

Mel is a researcher and helps with sourcing and designing merchandise.

Jackie also helps run the financial side of the business and day to day tasks.
