Learn how to help protect one of our most important and enchanting pollinator species
Bee Worldwide offer beekeeping courses with a mixture of practical information and hands on experience. Located in the heart of the beautiful south Wales valleys with the option of overnight accommodation available.
The main aim of our courses are to get you comfortable working with bees. The beekeeping courses are provided by Lorne East who is a qualified beekeeper and works with honeybees daily. Beekeeping suits and gloves are provided for children and adults – please bring your own wellies.
We have an indoor education centre which means we are not weather dependent, although we make every effort to have an outdoor hive inspection if weather allows. The education centre is divided in two sections, the first section is an observation hive where a bee suit is not required. The second section is separated by glass panel and has three hives which allows for an indoor hive inspection. If you wish you can always observe the goings on in the three colonies behind the glass panel in the observation hive.
Whether you’re a foodie, gardener, nature enthusiast or none of those, everyone is welcome. These courses will get anyone with an interest in nature or bees enthused about protecting our pollinators.
